The Versatile Blogger Award

I would like to thank Dysis Design for nominating me to receive The Versatile Blogger Award. I am very flattered and honored that she thought of me and Tanglewood Knots as one of the list of blogs to nominate. Thank you Dysis!!

versatile blogger award

The Versatile Blogger Award is an award given by bloggers to other up-and-coming bloggers. It is designed to encourage new bloggers to keep up the good work and help people to discover new blogs.

The Rules:

  • Thank the person who nominated you and leave a link to their blog.
  • List the rules and display the Versatile Blogger Award logo in your post and/or your blog.
  • Share seven facts about yourself.
  • Nominate up to 15 bloggers of your choice and let them know.

Oh good – I see these award rules are going to save you all the eye strain of needing to read a long rambling post. 😀 I really need to have a set limit or I tend to go on and on.

Seven (yes only 7) Facts About Me

  1. I have 3 awesome children – an adult son and daughter and a mostly adult daughter – I am fiercely proud of all three of them, I also have a pretty amazing son-in-law.
  2. I have 2 dogs (Laylee and Boris), 2 cats (Toast and Speckle), and 1 Grand-doggie (Lucy)
  3. I am married to a wonderful man that not only tolerates my piles of wips and closet bursting yarn stash, he encourages it and indulges me by being my sizing model to try on pieces that I’m working on
  4. I am a very active World of Warcraft player – I rolled up my main just before Burning Crusade dropped about 11 years ago. (This is a video game for those that have never heard of it – Crafting Rogue knows what I’m talking about 😀 )
  5. The Sims 3 is the only other video game I ever play – it’s like a virtual dollhouse!!!
  6. I stumbled into an awesome opportunity to have a work from home job writing web content, blogs and data management for an ecommerce janitorial supply website – yeah I work in my jammies most days!
  7. I still have the plastic Christmas table cloth on my kitchen table – it wipes clean so easy – I may need to change it for Easter though if the children will be coming over for dinner.

15 Blogs I Nominate as Versatile Bloggers

I think that many of these are veteran bloggers. I am inspired by all of these and truly appreciate all of the support they gave me when I first started Tanglewood Knots. 😀

Also – and this is extremely important – I would be heartbroken if anyone that I follow feels excluded by these award nomination lists. I hope that everyone realizes that I enjoy reading ALL of the blogs that I follow and I hope that is evident by the comments that I leave on a regular basis. I would nominate everyone if I could. 🙂

  1. I knew it! I absolutely KNEW IT! I knew we’d get along irl! WOW before it was online. Bought a new computer AND then a more advanced graphics card and learned how to swap them out when Sims 2 was released. When 3 dropped, I bought ANOTHER computer (because they love maxing out those graphics!), took 3 days off work so I could really get into it (advanced notice not sick leave lol) AND was at the store at midnight telling them they’d better get the trucks unloaded FAST!! I do have 4 but haven’t really taken much time with it. Instead, I’m going back through 3 with only one expansion turned on at a time to make sure I’ve played each THOROUGHLY!! Now that I’ve seriously shown my geek card, I’m slinking off again! Backlogged on blog reading, but I’ll get caught up.

    • Hstone Yarn Craft was working from the same pattern that I am and she is a lot further along than me. It’s probably going to be the most beautiful thing I ever make – and of course it’s going to be huge!! I’m estimating at least 7 feet diameter!! 🙂
