Every Wednesday my son Bill comes over for dinner. I always make him a nice home cooked meal and send him home with some leftovers. I also make dessert every Wednesday too. It is the only night of the week that dessert is guaranteed.

In my hometown the coffee shop sold Black Forest Coffee…it was the best!

Are you originally from Germany? I wish that I lived in a town that had a coffee shop – we have a pizza place, a package store and a gas station, but I guess that’s all I really need LOL!!

I was born in Germany (military brat) and was there twice as a kid for a total of 8 years and went back as a military wife for another 2 years. I know what you mean, I now live in a town with only 1 fast food restaurant and I am tired of it!

It’s the best chocolate cake ever!!! Have you used the Perfectly Chocolate frosting recipe too? So good! I actually prefer a nice cream cheese frosting on cake.

Mmmmm!!! This looks so yummy! I wish there was a taste app:). This will have to be one of our Fantastic Bake Alongs, but we will wait a bit so you get a little break from the forest.!

I like to build this cake into a Trifle bowl and layer the cake, cherries, chocolate pudding and whip cream!!! Yummm!!! Any ideas for the next recipe we’ll be diving in to? Maybe one of our fellow Fantastic Bakers has a favorite recipe?
